We will meet in the Old Spanish Trailhead Start parking lot, located in Whitewater, CO 81527. Gunnison Bluffs is part of the Old Spanish Trail system just south of US-50 between Orchard Mesa and Whitewater.
Driving directions: Follow US-50 E to US-50 E/S 5th St (signs for Delta/Montrose). Turn right onto 31 Rd, and continue onto Coffman Rd. Old Spanish Trailhead will be located on the right.
Suggested parking: Old Spanish Trailhead parking lot.
Restrooms and water: There is no restroom at this trailhead.
Hike length: This trail is approximately 4.3 miles in length with an elevation gain of 308 ft.
Hiking recommendations: Please make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for hiking. Bringing a water bottle, bug protection, and sun protection are highly recommended.
